2016-2017 Fantasy Hockey League Commemorative Yearbook
******************************************************

This year’s final was not especially close, but brought FHL Dallas and
GM Howard Wong their first FHL title. The win was over a worthy
opponent, FHL Philadelphia and GM James Borkowski, who fell in a valiant
attempt to bring home a third Duteau Cup in seven years. Dallas avenged
a previous finals loss to Philly in 2012-13, and took home the Cup in
their third try in their FHL history. Howard and James had defeated
Steve Tanner and Dave Moore respectively to make the Cup final. Steve
had a great run; after winning his first FHL playoff series he managed a
second on top of it. Dave and FHL Toronto made their second Conference
Final.

This year saw some significant change at the start, with new
commissioner Daniel Robitaille taking the reins from exiting
commissioner Steve Stringer, and we saw change at the end as well as we
welcome new GM Jordan Ziegler for FHL Las Vegas, and a change of
ownership in Columbus with the arrival of Jarod Preston. Steve, thank
you for your many years of dedicated service to the FHL! And welcome,
Jordan and Jarod!

As for the last 24 seasons, this league wouldn't happen without a
host of volunteers all doing their part. To Paul, Doug, Mark, Rob,
Steve G., Steve S., Howard and everyone else that helps out; we salute
and thank you. The FHL is truly a collective effort.
